The cuisine at alPonte presents simple tasty dishes, traditional but also creative, with a strong local character: a cuisine that tells of the countless influences left by history.
The restaurant alPonte, just a short distance from the river Isonzo, has been in the catering business since 1898.
THE SETTINGS
The veranda at Al Ponte is the ideal place to relax and enjoy the creations of our chef Luca, in a young and informal setting, sipping a glass of wine chosen from the many prestigious labels in the alPonte wine cellar.
The Al Ponte wine cellar offers a wide regional and national selection as well as important foreign products, while the local Doc Collio and Isonzo production, in the territory of which alPonte is located, is represented by more than 400 labels.
Luca’s philosophy
TRADITION AND NEW INSPIRATIONS
Luca’s favourite teacher was his grandmother Maria who, once he had completed a three-year apprenticeship, was glad to leave the kitchen in his hands.
Luca skilfully prepares the dishes of his homeland, but he also does excellent work with fish. The experience acquired working in Thailand has provided him with confidence in the use of spices and versatility in combining dishes in the kitchen.
